ALL ABOARD!
In early September Herb & Spice recently took their culinary expertise afloat a ferry boat on the Manchester Ship Canal. The event was a world-first 36-mile record swim along the Manchester Ship Canal by James Whittaker of Peel Holdings. Launched by Philip and Julie Neville, the event was held over two days where Herb & Spice catered for 300 people a day providing breakfast, canapés, lunch and afternoon tea. The event attracted nationwide media attention and succeeded in raising thousands of pounds for The Children’s Hospital Appeal.
SIMPLY SPORTING!
Summer 2008 saw Herb & Spice as official caterers at two world-class sporting events held at Alderley Edge Cricket Club. In June, tennis legends Henri Leconte, Mansour Bahrami, Anders Jarryd and Peter McNamara played an exhibition match with over 200 guests enjoying a champagne, and fabulous 3-course marquee dinner. In July over 1000 people watched Lancashire 1st XI play Bangladesh, Herb & Spice provided the corporate guests with a sumptuous 3-course luncheon and on-site catering facilities for the spectators.
IT’S SHOWBIZ!
Herb & Spice were commissioned as the official on-set caterers for the recent filming of a TV advertisement in Frodsham, Cheshire. The location was transformed into a gipsy camp film-set, where the production crew and actors enjoyed round-the-clock hot meals from the real-life Herb & Spice catering trailer!
MARATHON MAN!
Not only does Duncan Dickinson of Herb & Spice organise and cater for marathon events across the North West, he also found time to run the London Marathon in April this year! Completing the gruelling 26-mile run around London’s landmarks, Duncan managed to complete the marathon in 4 hours xx minutes – which now officially places him as the fastest caterer in the North West!
THE LIVE LOUNGE
Every Thursday and Friday night evening, The Live Lounge at the Cinnamon Club in Bowdon is the venue for modern British cuisine and live music. Herb & Spice offer a feast of superb dishes prepared by a team of experienced chefs using only the freshest local ingredients, whilst a live pianist entertains guests with jazz and blues in stylish surroundings.
